Rings for Matrices
Precision metallic rings providing varying tensions for perfect matrix adaptation.

Standard Ring
• standard ring № 1.099(5) - tines height - 5 mm • low ring № 1.099(4) - tines height - 4 mm • high ring № 1.099(6) - tines height - 6 mm

Ring with Retention Loop
№ 1.099А has the same construction of tines as standard ring № 1.099 for sectional matrices. Addition of extra loop on the ring makes it more flexible and allows to operate in wider range of opening without increase of residual distance between tines after use.

Ring for Perforated Matrices
Perforated matrices are 50 μm thick. As a rule, the matrix holder is joined to the matrix outside the oral cavity: the working elements are inserted into those holes that will lie roughly in line with the interdental space when the matrix is placed on the tooth. The working elements of the matrix holders resemble a crab's claw: they are inserted into the holes at the edges of the matrix and, closing on the side of the tooth opposite the contact point being restored, secure the matrix. The tines of the No. 1.022 ring and of the fixators are ground down for the best entry into the interdental space.

Slot Ring
Insert the ends of the Pony matrix into the slots in the tines of the ring or of the Slot fixator. Choose the loop length so that it can encircle about 3/4 of the circumference of the tooth being restored; the loop length can be adjusted by moving the matrix ends within the slots of the tines. After adjustment, bend back the edges of the matrix and place the system on the tooth using the forceps (see p. 25 of the Catalogue). ATTENTION! When working with the ring: 1) before starting, make sure there are no traces of rust on the ring surface and no signs of damage to the ring's integrity; 2) perform all ring-spreading manipulations outside the patient's oral cavity; 3) avoid abrupt spreading of the ring; 4) do not spread the ring tines apart by more than 10–12 mm.
